Dr. Dawn Greenberg
Growing up on Long Island, Dr. Greenberg knew by the age of 5 that she wanted to be a veterinarian. For an animal lover with an affinity for the sciences, it was a perfect match. She always had animals, ranging from dogs to parakeets and even horses. She has always been an avid equestrian, and originally wanted to become an equine veterinarian. However, her journey through veterinary school helped her realize that she much preferred canine and feline medicine. After graduating as salutatorian of her high school class, Dr. Greenberg went on to study Animal Science at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York. Her summers were spent |

working at small animal hospitals, traveling with equine veterinarians, as well as volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center on Long Island. She studied more diligently and worked harder than ever before, allowing her to gain early admissions to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. This enabled Dr. Greenberg to complete her undergraduate B.A. degree, as well as her D.V.M. in seven rather than eight years.
Dr. Greenberg first joined City Paws in June 2007. She resides in Arlington with her fiancé, Alan, and her much loved pug, Tulip. On her mom's long days, Tulip accompanies her to work – if you ever want to meet her come on a Tuesday or a Thursday! When she is not at work, Dr. Greenberg enjoys horseback riding, tennis, and hiking with Tulip.

Jennifer Kaspar – Veterinary Receptionist
Growing up I’ve always had animals. I grew up in the city of Austin, Texas, but my father thought that we lived in the country because we always had so many animals! I love all animals, even reptiles. Now living in Capital Hill, I have continued with my love of animals and shared that with my three kids. We have fish, birds and a dog. My children and I enjoy going to my father’s house in Maryland where he has chickens, roosters, dogs, toads, birds and I am sure many more animals to come. So needless to say, we love animals. This is my first time working with actual veterinarians and I am very fond of the doctors. Everyday I learn something new and meet a new friend. I hope to meet many more!
